OUR VISION

Build with confidence.
When we started Westco Iron Works in 2005, we had one goal in mind. Customer service. We have a hands on approach to our projects and the ownership group is committed to each and every Westco job.

We offer fabrication and on-site erection of structural steel, seismic retrofits, ornamental metals, and miscellaneous metals. Our comprehensive services begin with bidding the job, ensuring clients get the best most-cost effective choices, fabricating the steel, and providing on-site erection and installation services.

At the end of the day, when you build with Westco Iron Works, you get more than a truckload of steel. You get the confidence in working with people who can handle any job, no matter how complex. From shop foreman to 3D engineer, from welder to raising gangs, the people of Westco Iron Works deliver expertise and experience second to none.

ABOUT

The five partners of Westco—Scott Hofstede, Brad Thompson, John Wenger and Nick Hieber and Michael Verkaik—bring more than 100 years of experience in the steel industry to every project Westco takes on. We have the expertise to bid out and fabricate the most complex jobs. We cut steel, weld, drill and shop-fit to precise specifications. High above the deck our field crew grabs steel beams from cranes, sets them, hangs them, then ensures they are perfectly plumb, strong, and solid. When it comes time to top out, we paint the last beam white and sign our names to it with pride. No one will ever see it, but we’ll know it’s a Westco building.

From seismic upgrades, tenant improvements, and the construction of new LEED-rated buildings, Westco is the best choice when you build with steel.
